What We Check

Eight areas show whether Marketing Cloud Next pays off for you now and how big the project would be.

  • Licence and Edition

Whether your Pardot edition includes Marketing Cloud Next and your Salesforce edition meets the condition.

  • Salesforce Setup

What your Salesforce org needs first: users, permissions, and how your marketing tool is connected today.

  • Marketing Automation Today

What you run today, Pardot or another tool: what you use, what sits unused, and what would have to be rebuilt or moved.

  • Tools to Connect

Which tools should feed Marketing Cloud Next, from website and webinar tools to ERP, and how much work each connection takes.

  • Data Quality

Duplicates, gaps and mixed values in leads, contacts and accounts, and what has to be cleaned before the data goes in.

  • Data 360

Whether Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) is in place or needs setting up, and what it has to hold for your first use case.

  • Channels and Consent

Which channels you plan, from email to SMS and WhatsApp, and whether consent is recorded for each one.

  • Agentforce

Whether your content, data and consent are ready for Agentforce, which use case to start with, and who checks the results.

See What You Get

A written report. The verdict comes first, then what you run today, how big the project is, and what to fix in which order, so your team knows where to start. Lite covers licence, Salesforce, what you run today, Data 360 status and a data quality spot check.

Verdict

Not yet: three things to fix first

Marketing Cloud Next is in your licence and fits what you plan. Your data and consent aren’t ready for it yet; after the three fixes below, they will be.

Today
Pardot Plus, Sales Cloud Enterprise, a webinar tool, an ERP
Project size
Medium: two tools to connect, data cleanup first
Licence
Marketing Cloud Next Advanced Edition included
Data 360
Not set up yet
Agentforce
One use case ready, content needs work

Fix first, in this order

  1. Clean up your contact data. Two lead sources create duplicates and write the country two ways. Merge the duplicates and agree on one country list before anything goes into Data 360.

  2. Set up Data 360 for one segment. Your first campaign needs leads, contacts and accounts, nothing more. Connect Salesforce first; the webinar tool follows once the first campaign runs.

  3. Record SMS consent. Your forms don’t ask for it yet. Add it before SMS goes live, or the first send reaches no one.

  • 14 of 31 Engagement Studio programs show no activity in a year. Rebuild only the 17 that run.
  • Twelve users hold marketing permissions they don’t use. Tidy them up before new ones are added.
  • The product pages an Agentforce use case would draw on are out of date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your question isn’t here? Ask us directly.

Which check do we need, Lite or the full one?

Lite fits small setups: one team, a handful of automations and one first use case.

The full check fits when you run many programs or several teams, keep customer data in several systems, or plan to use Agentforce.

Not sure? Take the free self-check or book a free consultation.

Is Marketing Cloud Next already in our Pardot licence?

Most likely. Pardot customers on Growth, Plus, Advanced or Premium have it included (Salesforce calls it Account Engagement+), as long as they run Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Enterprise Edition or higher. On Professional Edition, it isn’t.

The check confirms it for your contract.

Does the check tell us what Marketing Cloud Next will cost?

No. Licence and usage prices come from Salesforce and your contract.

We tell you what you’ll need, so you can ask your Salesforce account executive the right questions.

Do we need to be on Pardot?

No. If you run another marketing automation tool, we check what you have there and what moving it would take.

What happens to the fee if we go ahead?

It’s credited in full against any package you book with us within 90 days.
