What’s the issue with Pardot’s default double opt-in process?
The process relies on a Custom Redirect, which only works if the visitor was previously cookied – often not the case. The email is triggered via an Automation Rule, which can take up to 15 minutes.
The official workaround recommends using Engagement Studio, but emails there can take up to 60 minutes to send.
That delay and cookie dependency frustrates users and increases the risk that a valid opt-in won’t be recognized correctly.
